They give their best, trying not to do anything wrong in the eyes of the people of the church, not God, so that they may say to themselves that they are living their lives well. And in the case that they fail, meaning that they "sinned," they take comfort from the thought of having other people from the church who they know also sinned. They totally missed the point of doing the things they do… which is to live their lives as worship to God. They easily see other people's fault, but never theirs. It is not wrong to correct other people in the church as long as you also "do what you preach" (Fredrick Crawford, 2004: 1). But these people advise other people what must be done, appearing to be concerned for the other's welfare but deep inside their minds, they are only concerned for their own glory. The last example of things the religious hypocrites do is that they do not live their lives whole-heartedly the way their religion is teaching them to. The church teaches people to live lives worthy of being called the lives of God's people. It tells them to help, encourage, and love one another. The hypocrites may also be found doing these, but the question is whether they are doing them whole-heartedly.
